CEA’s mechanical subcommittee is actively working to advance modern, energy-saving strategies and technologies for a building’s mechanical systems. Currently, CEA activities are focused on initiatives designed to help California meet its compliance improvement goals mandated under Senate Bill 1414 (Statues of 2016), which calls for the California Energy Commission and California Public Utilities Commission to adopt programs that will increase compliance in the installation of air conditioning and heat pump systems.
