Meeting Notice

Agenda:

Specific topics of discussion include (in order of expected agenda placement): • Alternate compliance method approval manual provisions – this manual specifies the modeling rules required for building simulation software used to demonstrate performance based compliance with the Energy Code. • Nonresidential data registry provisions – these provisions specify possible future collection of compliance documentation data by the CEC, either directly into a statewide repository or indirectly through third-party registries. 3 • Economizer provisions – these provisions specify the required use of economizers in nonresidential buildings to provide outside air for ventilation cooling instead of air conditioning when outdoor temperatures meet building comfort conditions. • Restructuring of code provisions applicable to multifamily buildings – these provisions are the culmination of the CEC efforts to place a major new focus on multifamily buildings, including alignment of requirements for low-rise, mid-rise and high-rise buildings and relocation of multifamily requirements into their own chapters within the Energy Code.
