CEC Workshop on Energy Standards Compliance Improvement for Central Air Conditioning and Heat Pump Systems

California Energy Commission staff will conduct a workshop to develop a plan that will promote compliance with the Building Energy Efficiency Standards (Energy Standards) in the installation of central air conditioning and heat pump systems

This workshop will include round table discussions on identifying major barriers and recommendations to overcome the barriers to compliance with the Energy Standards in the installation of central air conditioning and heat pump systems in residential and small commercial buildings.

Workshop participants will be asked to assist the Energy Commission to investigate and consider the impacts to key actors and stakeholders including, but not limited to, manufacturers, distributors, contractors, property owners, disadvantaged and low-income communities, Home Energy Rating System providers and raters, Energy Commission, California Public Utilities Commission, utilities, CSLB, building departments and other local governments, and the general public.
